Trail Thoughts and Musings

The trail continues its relentless ascent and soon this large log is reached. Its primary purpose was to act as a safety barrier along the edge of the trail. However, if you examine it, you will see that it contains hundreds of names and initials along with the date they were inscribed. I saw dates going back to the 1970s. Perhaps a more detailed examination would reveal earlier dates.
