Ascent of Slippery Rock

Trail Thoughts and Musings

Although there is no formal trail up the face of Slippery Rock, the climb is not difficult unless it is wet. At that time, caution must be used to prevent falling. By imaging the rock face as a large inverted funnel with the trees as a border, the climb consists of heading toward the narrow end of the funnel. It is there that a more discernible trail becomes evident.
