Log Dam on Deer Creek

Here a large tree has come crashing down to earth. Its final resting place lies directly across the streambed of Deer creek. The obstructed flow now forms small cascades and waterfalls around the log dam. Because of the weather resistant nature of redwood, if left alone, it will still be there a century from now.
