God's Gate

Trail Thoughts and Musings

A tree which had fallen sometime in the past, still clings to life. In its attempt to stave off death it has formed this huge ornate structure that could be envisioned by the fanciful as a gate. The tree is high enough above the ground to allow most people to pass under it with little or no stooping. As can be seen, the trail still closely follows the fast flowing creek.
