Here the Redwood Grove trail reaches its furthest distance from the parking. Those who are tired should now return to the nature center by following the return loop. To extend the hike, go through the opening in the fence near Fremont tree. This short spur trail will lead to Pipeline road. You will pass near the railroad tracks used by the trains in Roaring Camp.
