Canyon Ascent
Trail Thoughts and Musings
No sooner has the bridge been crossed when the trail begins its steep ascent up the canyon. Second growth redwoods are abundant, and show the power of nature to brush off the effects of the heavy lumbering that took place in the early 1900s. This canyon is perhaps one of the most enchanting areas in the park.
