At the two mile mark, the halfway point to Mist Falls in reached. This is where Bubbs Creek trail splits off from the Paradise Valley trail. Those who are heading up to Kearsage Pass will use Bailey Bridge to follow Bubbs Creek out of Kings Canyon. The massive rock fall that our trail now negotiates is of recent origin. It did not exist in 1978 when I first took this hike.
