Following the trail past the Pine Tree, the path ducks into a small grove of trees and Summit Meadows trail then ends at Highway 9. One return option is to retrace your steps back to the pullout where you started. A better alternative is to CAREFULLY cross the highway and join the Skyline-to-the-Sea trail on the other side. Not only does this allow you a loop return, but you can hike a portion of this well-known trail.
