Although the trail is for the most part a descent through dense forest and brush, fleeting stretches of clearing will be encountered. Here one such break in the trees can be seen. The sun filters down on both hiker and grass while ahead the trail once again plunges back into the forest. Above, the road with its attendant sounds of cars can be heard.
