Trail Thoughts and Musings

Having leveled out somewhat, the trail now encounters a lush stand of ferns. These are growing in great profusion on the embankment by the path. Although stopped by the trail, they pick up again on the other side and continue their march down the slope. Along with the other vegetation, these ferns give a garden like appearance to this portion of the hike.
