The Bridge That Isn't There

The hiker continues to follow the trail with dogged determination. Suddenly it terminates at the foundation of a now vanished bridge. What was once a two bridge crossing over a steep escarpment now finds only the far bridge remaining intact. Part of the wreckage was used by the park service to construct a temporary crossing higher up the hillside. Hopefully, this 1957 bridge will be replaced soon.
