The creek now runs with increasing swiftness along the left side of the trail. As the canyon narrows, the trail is forced in places to ascend part way up the canyon walls. Thick forest now begins to dominate the creek's plant communities. Once again, a large tree has fallen over the trail, providing a picturesque portal for your passage.
